Summer Madness!!
Yo Y'all
OH MY GOODNESS!! I am just back from SM06. It's late (1.15am) on Saturday night/Sunday morning. I am sitting in my kitchen with my shoes off and feet up on the kitchen table (kinda smelly, I know) and I am feeling soooo excited, pleased and privaleged to have been a part of SM06. Worshipping with that massive, rowdy, noisy, beautiful crowd of young people has been so encouraging. I feel totally 'stoked' - it was such a 'rad' time. I really feel like I am missing out by not being around to do more over the next 2 days.
Firstly I want to say a HUGE big thank you and give a MASSIVE big manly hug to all of the young people who came along, got sweaty and worshipped God. You are great! I was blown away by your willingness, freedom and excitement to give something to God that He really enjoyed. I genuinely hope that you had the time and space to encounter God and be drawn further into His Mystery and Majesty. He loves you so much. I really pray that the seeds that have fallen over this weekend will take root and grow into big, massive mature Canadian Redwoods (the Papa of all trees)!
I also want to give a rather emormous thanks to the band I was playing with and to all the SM sound, light and stage crew. It has been such good fun working and playing with these guys. The band and myself have worked pretty hard at the songs over the last wee while and it was so great to be standing on stage with them, enjoying the songs and having so much fun! It was really hard not to just keep on smiling - we loved it. Smiling, jumping, playing nice guitars and getting sweaty - not a bad wee night out! Thanks band for all the effort and hard work...I am sitting here sensing the big love I have in my heart for you all right now.
So...it would be great to hear what you guys thought of the event and what God was saying to you. What was going on with you over the weekend? Did you enjoy it? Did anything special happen? How have you been challenged and encouraged?
I'd also love to hear what you thought of the new songs we were doing. We played 3: 'Rescuer', 'Our God Is Mighty' and 'Walls Tumble Down'....what did you think? It would be great for me and the band to hear your feedback.
Well - I need to go to bed and get some beauty sleep. If I can get some photos of the event, I'll post them up on the site.

Hiya JP..so encouraged to hear that God continues to use you to carry His message to others. As always I am inspired to know that young people are central to all your endeavours, and that there are people still reaching out to them.... I love you for it mate! Keep keeping on and I know God will continue to set your sails...God bless you for all that you do, watch out world :-).

hiya, jp, was at Sm06 til sunday, realy realy felt god's presence durin the worship sessions was totaly amazin 2 cso many ppl jus prasin r almighty lord! the nu songs wer gr8 2 keep up the gd writin.

Hiya Johnny! i am just back from SM06!! it was amazing- i loved it, it was really 'rad' lol. can not wait for next year. I loved the songs you and your band sang in the worship- i love 'Redemer' and 'Wall Tumble Down' esp. your other new song that you sang was classic too (cant member it right now am sorry). SM was amazing, the worship was intense on Sunday night- but it in a good way lol. your 'Almighty Sound' t-shirts are cool- am loving mine lol. Take care, and God bless. Saz oxo

ur worship was amazing this year really really impressed. the new songs worked really well too and is there any where we can hear these??
listening to nomads welcome at the minute and so far so good.
i really got lots out of this weekend i thought the speakers were amazing and really challenged me.
I know its God working through these people but i would just like to say u r really blessed and ur music has really touched me this weekend?

i got so much out of summer madness i enjoyed it so much and found the speakers amazing but very challenging. i felt god speaking to me through mike and went forward for prayer which has left me with a lot to think about. i know it is god working through you all taking part but i just want to say that ur music was amazing and soo encouraging.

Hey big JP, i was so stoked to meet you lol although we have met before in bangor elim but dat was ages ago lol, the worship was so amazing the holy spirit truely moved throughout the crowd and you inspired us all with your new songs, rescuer was amazing, next in line of amazing-ment was the walls will fall down now that was beautiful. our group would have loved so much to hear you sing arise becus we felt that the lord was just telling us to get up and worship his name and basically arise to the challenge. thanks very much for the photo backstage was rly rad, lol and also japser was in da background makin a pretty scary face lol. you totally rocked during summer madness and i pray that the lord will bless you wherever you go and i pray that you will have the same if not a better responce than s:m 06.

Was at sm06 dis yr and loved it soooooo much!!! Jus cnt wait for sm07 and excited about the whole sbsu sm07!:D Da new songs wer grreeaatt so keep singing them and writing them!!!! God bless!!

Hey, only just made it up to SM for Sat night, and man was I blown away to be back in a place were a generation is rising up to worship the King... your heart overflowed in worship, thanks for spending so much time seeking God, writting songs, and allowing us to use them too!
hey johnny...wow can i say that God used u in an anmazing way through SM! i must say that this past year i have fallen back in my faith but through u and tim hughes i was relly lifted back up to my feet! my eyes were opened as i saw how in love you are with God and just to see you on fire! was so encouraging!! u r a big role model for loads of people out there!! i remeber the gud old days of mannafest...amazing times wen u used 2 play..bluetree are doing an immense job also atm..ur new songs are so rad! keep them cumin! i bought almighty sound at SM and u signed it after i got my picture taken with u and u wrote how i blinded u with my flash off the camera lol...sorry but i hope ya can see now! haha...Keep that fire burning!! peace and love...cherylx
