It's January!
Yo
I woke up and it is January.
We've just revolved around the sun one more time and I didn't even feel us move. How does that happen? This year, as we revolve, I am going to put my head out the car window like a big dog and watch the universe go by.
So the Holidays are 'officially' over in my house. The tree is down and we are finishing up the last chocolates. I have had a good holiday. Some good extended family time. It's good to see that my family and my in-laws are still as KRAZY as I always thought they were.
So did you get any unusual presents this year? I don't know if I got anything particularly unusual but I did get a nice pair of running tights. I look particularly fetching in them. They cling.
Well...I have officially finshed being an employee and am now fully entered into the world of self-employment! It is full-on exciting. I have done 2 days work for myself this year (it is only the 3rd Jan)! I am loving it and really feel excited about getting the time to write GREAT songs and get well organised. I cannot tell you what a sense of relief I feel that I have finally taken this jump. I am proud of myself. In fact I am going to pat myself on the back right now.....there! I feel like I am really walking into something special. I've already been tested a few times since I made the decision to do this....it's funny ins't it....you take a jump into something that you know is important as is significant for you and as soon as you do it, a little test appears, then another, then another. It's been interesting for me as at times I've become a little bit scared and shaken but then I've rediscovered my equilibrium, found my resolve and kept going. God is with me in this. It's an adventure!
I am listening to some fantastic music at the moment. An album by The Weepies which will melt your heart. One by a fella called Richard Hawley called 'Low Edge' - fantastic. And the lastest by Yo La Tengo - it is 5 star quality. Check them out.
I am going to be doing lots of dates over the next while - locally and some further afield - check out the site for the latest info.
Talk soon peeps.
