Erwin McManus and Matt Redman

Yo y'all
Hope you are all full of the joys of Autumn.
I am sitting on my bed somewhere near Brighton in the English countryside and am looking out the window at an incredible view of multi-coloured trees being hugged by thick fog. Pretty cool.
Anyway...things are going great. Just finished leading worship at a conference in Dublin where Erwin McManus was speaking. It was a great time. Erwin said some really great stuff that I personally found very useful. Challenged and encourage everyone to be responsible for creating their future and for taking a few more risks stimulated by the passions God has put in us. I found the content really fortifying (particularly since I am taking the jump and leaving work at the end of the year!).
We led worship and played a few new songs which people really responded to. We tried one out called 'Walls' and one called "Can't stop this noise'. I am really happy with the songs but feel they still need a wee bit of tweaking....If you were there, what did you think?
....which brings me to why I am over in England right now. I am getting a couple of days doing a bit of co-writing with Matt Redman and then Nick Herbert. Matt and I are meeting later this morning in the old Chapel in his village (after we get some breakfast...I am hungry). I've a few songs that are half written and I am planning to go over those with Matt and get some feedback. I think he is planning to do the same. I am planning to tweak the above 2 songs and then see if we can write something fresh together.
I am then meeting a couple of folk from EMI tomorrow and then writing a bit with Nick (who is based in St Mary's in London). Should be really productive and great fun.
It is a pretty busy season at the moment. Really full and fulfilling. I am planning everything for post-Christmas and am really encouraged as there are lots of bookings coming in and lots of songs coming out!
I hope you are all doing good.
Talk soon
Johnny
