Faith

Faith...

My heart is expanding at the moment and my faith has become stronger. I am trusting more in God than I ever have done.

There was a time not so long ago when my faith had put its feet up and was resting nicely on the settee in front on the TV. Recently, my faith has been challenged and re-awakened. It is being exercised.

It is a funny thing that it is in the times of stress, anxiety and uncertainty when your faith emerges and grows. Faith seems to thrive on these times. It seems to flourish and blossom when our world has been shaken. When our comforts disappear, our faith remains.

I (and my family) have taken some steps of faith recently in obedience to God. We want to walk in the fulness of His calling. We have left the comfort zone and have faced some immediate challenges. At times we have been a wee bit shakey however we are walking in FULL knowledge that God is a Father who continually pours love on His children. We are confident in Him and are full of hope and anticipation for the future. Our faith is expanding.

We have some friends who are experiencing the tough side of life. Nik, my drummer, has a sister, aged 23, who has been diagnosed with cancer. She has started radiotherapy this week and now needs chemo. The doctors are giving bad news. However, we have faith in this situation...we all have faith for a great outcome. Despite the odds, the worries, and in the midst of a confusing situation, we are sure of our faith that there is always a higher purpose for good. And we are believing for good in this situation. We are depending on our faithful Father.

The Father who heard our cries when we were sinking to the depths and being swallowed by the mountains is standing firm at our shoulders. He hems us in. He surrounds us. He is our Defender and Protector. He is the God with the heart and response of a loving Father. He is hugely compassionate and eternally strong.

Our compass points in His direction. We pursue Him and call on His favour and blessing. In faith we ask Him to respond as a Father and give us everything we don't deserve.

We are tested and our faith expands.

Join us in praying into these situations
