Tomlin Tour - Day 1
Hi all
So I am in Milwaukee! It is really cold! Did you know that Milwaukee has the largest 4-sided clock in the world - even bigger the Big Ben (which should now be called Not-So-Big-Ben). That's what the taxi man told me anyway!
So After having some airline worries, my guitar was finally delivered to my hotel this morning. I kissed it when it arrived. Avalon guitars have very kindly given me one of their new 'Americana' range guitars to play for the next while. It is stunning! sounds awesome and looks FANTASTIC! After waking up this morning and having a wee think, I have decided on the acoustic set...I am going to play:
1. A wee Irish Mountains Jig
2. The Happy Song
3. Close To You
4. Who Can Stop This Noise? (New song written with Matt Redman)
5. Blessed Be Your Name
Then I am gonna get up with Chris and the band and do Glory at a later stage...should be lots of fun!
I feel really excited to be here and can't wait to get playing. The folk from this area seem really decent people - very helpful and polite. Some of them seem to think I am Scottish...not too far away...plus I love the Scots. But my heart is and always be Irish!
